Madiba Prep, located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, serves scholars in grades 6-8. Madiba not only focuses on the academics, but also the social and emotional well being of our scholars. We prepare and position our scholars to take the information that they have learned in the classroom and propose a solution to real world problems within their local community and make connections to our global community.
Our special initiatives include partnerships with St. Nicks Alliance and The Leadership Program which provide an eclectic mix of activities both during and after school hours. The Alvin Ailey Dance Theater provides an eight week residency which infuses American History with dance, and provides whole school professional development. Fencers Club, a grant funded program, provide world class fencers to train students in Foil style fencing. The Middle School Arts Matter grantee support the provision of Visual Arts and Theater to our scholars.
